Most of all, thank you, Dad, for fostering my desire to be close not only to our relatives here in the United States, but across our northern border as well. You left this world 19 years ago,
but your legacy lives on. It began when your took our family to Halifax when I was eight. It grew even deeper when I had the privilege of living close to the Canadian border for several years and was able to visit on a regular basis.
